There are many ways you can volunteer your time to help LEAP end drug prohibition. Below are some examples. To learn more about the variety of volunteer opportunities at LEAP, please contact email@example.com.
Volunteer Bookers: LEAP has more than 130 speakers who share LEAP’s message with the world. Our volunteer booking team plays a vital role in making this happen. The team is made up of dedicated and reliable volunteers who arrange for our speakers to share their stories about enforcing failed drug laws. This is an excellent opportunity for talented and committed activists looking for a way to make a real change in drug policy. Volunteers are paired up with a law enforcement speaker and are trained to book the speaker into civic clubs, universities, and other venues. Team members must be self-motivated with excellent communication skills and be comfortable working remotely and devoting at least 2-3 hours per week. If you are interested in applying to join the venue booking team, please send a letter of interest and resume to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Rapid Response Team: The “war on drugs” has an impact on every community around the world. Newspapers, television programs and radio shows frequently run stories related to drug prohibition and drug policy reform. Members of LEAP’s Rapid Response Team receive email alerts from LEAP letting them know when a story breaks. Team members then submit comments about these high profile stories to the newspaper, blog or other websites that published the story. Rapid Response team comments in these very visible forums help to spread the word about LEAP and our rational, commonsense approach to drug policy reform. Conference Booth Staffers: LEAP attends many conferences throughout the year, and we utilize local volunteers to staff our conference booth. This is a great way to engage one-on-one with people who may not know about LEAP, and to learn directly from our speakers while working side-by-side with them. To become a conference booth staffer, or find out more, please contact email@example.com. Kayla Itsines
