Speaker Norm Stamper is a welcomed guest at the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities. Norm will be discussing a variety of legal and societal issues associated with America’s failed drug rpohbition policies. Norm has the credentials to back up what he says. Norm was a member of the National Advisory Counsel on the Violence Against Women Act; the Police Executive Research Forum; the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the Major Cities Chiefs and is a former Chief of Police of Seattle Washington.
Norm earned his bachelor and master’s degrees in criminal justice administration from San Diego State University and his Ph.D. in leadership and human behavior from United States International University. He is a graduate of the FBI’s National Executive Institute.
