Rethinking violence and Civic Society in Mexico – http://rethinkingmexico.org/index.html

The Conference begins on the afternoon of  April 9th with opening remarks at 6:30 PM. This conference strives to be a space for discussion and action for those in the United States and Mexico who wish to reflect on the factors that have contributed to the current human rights crisis and to propose viable public policy solutions to transform Mexico’s society and the rule of law. The conference will be the capstone of a series of discussions and events that have taken place on campuses in the Boston area since October 2014, led by Mexican students from over six local universities. By bringing together a group of international panelists including academics, experts and representatives of local civil society organizations and think tanks, the conference will draw on expertise from a range of disciplines and backgrounds to analyze the situation unraveling in Mexico and propose solutions to move forward.

Neill will speak on Friday the 10th from 9:00AM to 9:30 AM.

This event is OPEN to the public.
