Eric Sterling has a small role in the movie, “How to Make Money Selling Drugs”, available on iTunes, June 18.
The ironic title is intended to appeal to young people, but the movie seriously addresses addiction, treatment and recovery, alcohol and tobacco, meaningful prevention, and the violence, corruption, injustices and wastefulness of our current approach to drugs.
In connection with the roll out of the movie, there are a bunch of essays on Huffington Post:
Matthew Cooke, the writer/director, proposes an outline of how to legalize drugs:
Producer Adrian Grenier writes about the injustices of incarceration for drugs and the racial disparities:
Ethan Nadelmann, Executive Director, Drug Policy Alliance, writes about the progress we are making in ending the war on drugs:
How To Make Money Selling Drugs will open theaters in select cities starting June 26.
Starring: Susan Sarandon, Woody Harrelson, 50 Cent, Eminem, David Simon, Arianna Huffington, Russell Simmons, Neill Franklin, Judge Jim Gray, Alexandra Natapoff, Barry Cooper, “Pepe,” and Bobby Carlton, Brian O’Dea, and Freeway Ricky Ro$$.
