On October 22 LEAP speaker Howard Wooldridge and his cross-country horse Misty dropped into Omaha, Nebraska to check out the LEAP billboard sponsored by Melanie Marshall. The new site is on a busy street on the outskirts of the city and highly visible to all who pass by. “The billboard is a large and constant reminder to citizens of Nebraska that law enforcement opposition to drug prohibition/war on drugs is real and growing.” Howard remarked.
Nearby sirens did not faze Misty. In 2005 she and Howard rode thru the southern parts of Omaha, crossing the Missouri River south of downtown. Misty was content to jump back in the horse trailer, rather than gallop back to Michigan.
